Soul Swinging in the New Age

As I was walking my dog, Charlie, down a beautiful country lane near my house, it occurred to me how tense I was.  The green beauty around me only mirrored my inner stress.  Breathe, I said to myself, breathe.

In this rapid time of shifts, changes...there comes a point where you have to step back and look at the bigger picture.  As the vibration and awareness increases on the planet, it feels to me like things are going faster. We are more distracted than ever before by the bombardment of technology such as cell phones, devices, social media. We are working longer hours and multi- tasking more than ever before. Is this a good thing? Is this a bad thing?  I don't think it's either, it just is what it is, it is the times we are living in.

Running parallel is a sharper and growing awareness of the intuitive side of life encompassing healthier lifestyles and spirituality.  Environmental and humanitarian issues are also becoming mainstream issues. 


 I believe we are here on this planet to work on our weaknesses and as we swing from each change to the next in an accelerated fashion, much like Tarzan swinging from rope to rope, we expand and we grow.  Each situation we find ourselves in needs to be bigger to house our perpetual growth as souls which is why we are here.  Perhaps our grandparents swings were just as intense as ours but less often.

We now have the opportunity in this age to pack in multiple and abundant transitions that will bring our souls enriched and amazing growth.  As we swing from each situation to the next, see it like an upgrade, just as when you have to upgrade your car, we need a new vehicle to go to expand and go forward in.  

Resisting change in this day and age will take more energy than to face your fear and do it anyway.

 I believe that when we eventually arrive on the other side after leaving our bodies, (which I hate to remind you is a done deal) we will be in awe of how much our soul grew, perhaps even more than any life time before.  All the stress we endured worth it in the end because we will find ourselves  closer to our authentic source, which is pure, unadulterated love.

So, if in your life you are feeling like everything is going too fast, it probably is.  What can we do to cope  and balance the acceleration? 

'Stress busting' is so important because so much valuable guidance is missed as it lies just below our stress.

The stress masks the truth and the knowing we have deep down.  Here are some of my stress busting suggestions but because we are so unique, what works for one may not for the other so just for fun I have listed my suggestions using sun signs,

Aries; sports, comedy relief, partying
Taurus; gardening, luxuries, singing
Gemini; reading enjoyable texts, socialising for fun
Cancer; family time,  scrap booking, fun with kids
Leo; socialising, dancing,make over
Virgo; structured relaxation like Yoga, cooking, nature walks
Libra; socialising, pets, luxury, romance
Scorpio; sex, spending one on one time with those you love
Saggitarius; climb a mountain or jump out of a plane,,,play like a child
Capricorn; do something practical in nature, fish, bushwalk, build a tipi
Aquarius; Get your own space however you can, that's how you recharge
Pisces; talk it out with friends, a counsellor, go where you feel the love, water play.
                                          OR all of the above!

                      Breathe, relax, enjoy, you only have one life right here, right now.

Numbers Name Game

Have you ever woke up and looked at the clock and it has been a certain time such as 5.55  and then it happens again? You jump in the car and you keep seeing 555  on number plates or you find three five cent pieces in the bottom of your hand bag. I wonder how many of you have noticed numbers being significant in your life?  I know I have.  They seem to have a way of repeating themselves, things happening on particular dates, seeing repetitive numbers around, feeling good or bad about certain numbers.


I have always found the science of numerology interesting and more importantly quite accurate. This science was based on the ancient and famous philospher Pythagoras.  He was born is Greece around 590 BC  and was a very important figure in the development of mathematics.  He stated; ‘The world is built upon the power of numbers," Numerology became systems of both divination and magic based upon the concept that the entire universe is composed of mathematical patterns, and all things can be expressed in numbers which correspond to universal vibrations. Therefore, all things, including names, words, birth dates and birthplaces, can be reduced to numbers in order to determine personalities and destinies of individuals.


So it seems not only our date of birth, but our names also have numerological significance. When you think about it, your name is repeated over and over every day, every year of our life.  This creates a certain feeling or vibration.  Perhaps this is why people often change or abbreviate their names. When a baby is born sometimes the parents change their original name ideas because the child doesn’t seem like a Tom or a Mary. One friend of mine was born with one name but then was adopted and given another. My father wanted to call me Candida but my mother won and named me after the Queen. Sometimes I wonder would my life have been different being Candida?  Some people change their name purely for numerology reasons and swear their life has changed and improved. I am sure our surnames also have some effect but perhaps not as much unless you are often referred to as Mr. or Ms whoever consistently, such as a school teacher. I guess someone like Johnny Depp would use the whole name because he is often referred to by his full name.


It is quite simple to work out the numerical significance of your name. Use the name that everyone calls you, for example, if you were born Charles but everyone calls you Charlie, use Charlie. This is the stronger vibration. Then, follow the table below and add up your name.  Keep reducing the digits to a singular number. Then you can look up my abbreviated explanations.  There are some great numerology books around for the extra keen, you could try  ‘Secrets of the Inner Self’ by David A. Phillips

Love is in the Air

This morning, it felt like it was finally over...my night was full of tossing and turning and absurdly, face book friends I had never met had entered my dreams.....the Piscean full moon had waned and I finally felt slightly normal...I wandered out to let my chickens out of their tiny cute house and was warmly welcomed by the sound of their claws brushing against the metal mesh mixed with their gentle clucking....as I took in the 6.30am view of the mountains I spied mulberries on a tree, a magpie raced me, but I won, he flew away as the purple juice of the mulberries stained my hand...it occurred to me it is Spring, glorious Spring! Love is in the air, love is always in the air but Spring, I love you!

 Madness in Mullumbimby 

Yesterday afternoon I was sitting in an outdoor Mullumbimby cafe.  A homeless  man, dressed in what looked like a hessian bag with a matching hessian shoulder bag, long brown hair and a kind but weathered face approached me.  

 He said, ever so politely; 'Excuse me Miss, is the password still 528?' 'Pardon?' I replied . He repeated; 'Is the password still 528?'  In that moment I realised he was either on an acid trip or his cognitive cells had been shot long ago. With as much compassion and certainty as I could muster I replied  with a smile  'Absolutely'  He looked so relieved that the password was still 528, he practically skipped away with joy.

I noticed as he skipped away he was almost handsome but it was the joy he emanated that was attractive.

There is a part of us that always stays untarnished and pure. 

No matter how hurt we get, how damaged we think we are, how screwed up your childhood may have been, whether you've been beat up, dumped by the love of your life, abused by your children, sacked, robbed or had plain bad luck.  Yep, there is a part of us that is invincible, made out of some quality that truly is indestructible. It lives inside us and is ever present and in a quiet moment we are given glimpses of it, it's where hope lives, it's the thing that can perform miracle healing, it's the thing that loves us, it is who we really are.

How do we feel it?  Do you need to go to the Himalaya's and meditate? Do you need to be able to stand on your head for six hours? I don't think so, it's under our noses, it's in our breath.  Stop, breathe, close your eyes, listen.  The sound of silence is where you will find you.  One moment of this inner medicine can change the colour of a crazy day.

FLOWER POWER

Standing in line at the supermarket, I overheard a woman say to her partner that he never bought her flowers.  His comeback was 'well you never buy me any either'

I noticed she rolled her eyes and stared into space.  He had a point in a way, we all need attention and what more beautiful way is there to express love than giving flowers.

Flowers aren't only about expressing love, they are about healing as well and the flowers we are drawn to at any given time can be a remedy for an imbalance, an illness or a pain in our hearts. 

Flower essences, flower scents, pictures of flowers and flowers in pots and vases all emanate their own unique healing energy.  All flowers uplift and inspire and can shake out a bad vibration in just about any space.

Wisdom from White Owl




The woman who sat across from me was perfectly manicured, her glossy blonde hair coiled beautifully around her skull like a snake in deep sleep.  Her long, painted pink nails tapped impatiently on her knee while her wide green eyes darted sharply around the room  and then looked me up and down.

I became aware of the simple summer dress I had picked up off the floor that morning when I had heard my baby crying, I also noticed a baby sick stain that I had carelessly wiped away with a tissue in my haste.  I had a 10am appointment to do a medium reading for a new client, Samantha.

I briefly explained to her the process I was about to undertake to connect  with her loved ones in the Spirit World. She nodded sharply as if I was an imbecile and she already knew everything I was saying. She may as well screamed; 'Get on with it!'

As I closed my eyes to tune in I began to scream inside to my Spirit Guide 'Bloody hell, White Owl, how can I read for this woman, her energy sucks and I just want to go back to bed'  

I heard his familiar chuckle inside my head...calm down little one....let's see what we can do.....I blocked out Samantha's impatient energy as I tried to focus on  White Owl's messages...slowly but surely I was shown a little boy about seven years old on a see saw in a play ground.  I saw Samantha calling him to leave, and they hopped into a car.  I knew intuitively there was a car accident and the little boy had not made it and now Samantha was living with this guilt.  My heart swelled with compassion and I instantly felt guilty for judging this woman so harshly.

I gently related what I was shown and she immediately softened.....her watery eyes merged with black mascara and black tears flowed down her cheeks...grief tears...it was clear the way she was coping was by staying in strict control of any detail she could.  Now the healing could begin.

This is a true account of a reading I did about ten years ago, of course I changed the client's name.
